‘Drake and Josh’ Star Josh Peck Joins Nolan’s ‘Oppenheimer’

As per the latest Hollywood news, 'Drake and Josh' star Josh Peck is known to have joined the star cast of Christopher Nolan's 'Oppenheimer'. The film is going to be a World War II epic.

The report says that Peck will play the role of a scientist and will be seen playing the role of Kenneth Bainbridge. He was involved in the Manhattan Project which was the code name for the US to develop nuclear weapons at the time of second world war.

Apart from Josh Peck, Cillian Murphy will also star as J. Robert Oppenheimer in the film. It examines the physicist who works hard to create the atomic bomb.

Murphy will be starred by others like Emily Blunt who will enact as a biologist. While Kitty Oppenheimer will enact as botanist. In addition to this, Matt Damon will act as Manhattan Project director.

The film already has a number of recognizable actors. For example, Florence Pugh will enact psychiatrist Jean Tatlock. While Benny Safdie will be featured in hte role of theoretical physicist Edward Teller.

On the other hand Josh Hartnett is expected to embody pioneering American nuclear scientist Ernest Lawrence.

Rami Malek, 'This Is Us' and 'Sky High' actor Michael Angarano, 'Solo: A Star Wars Story' star Alden Ehrenreich, Kenneth Branagh and Matthew Modine will also appear in the film.

The latest report in this regard sayd that Universal Pictures is backing the upcoming film Oppenheimer which is going to cost up to  $100 million to the makers.

Josh Peck Starring Oppenheimer Slated to Hit Theatres On July 21, 2023

Apart from directing, Nolan will adapt the screenplay from the book titled The Triumph and Tragedy by Kai Bird and the late Martin J. Sherwin.

Josh Peck who will soon star in the film 'Oppenheimer' first appeared in  'The Amanda Show' from the year 2000 to 2002. He later starred alongside Drake Bell in Nickelodeon sitcom 'Drake and Josha' between 2004 to 2007.

As per the industry insights, Peck is expected to next star opposite Debra Messing in Netflix's titled '13: The Musical'. This fil will hit the screens by the next year.

Josh is also expected to join the 'Drake and Josh' co-star Miranda Cosgrove in the upcoming "iCarly." The great news is that he show will be gearing up for second season mount Plus.

Christopher Abbott Joins the Star Cast of ‘Kraven The Hunter’

Are you one of the fans of the Hollywood actor Christopher Abbott? If yes, then the 'Catch-22' fame actor will soon join the star cast of Sony Pictures' Marvel flick 'Kraven the Hunter' which originally stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson in the lead role.

As per the latest Hollywood news, there is no confirmation about the role to be played by Christopher Abbott. But the sources close to  the industry says that he might play the role of a villain in the movie.

Apart from Christopher Abbott, others who are expected to star in the film include the names of Fred Hechinger, Alessandro Nivola, Russell Crowe, and Ariana DeBose. All of them will play their respective pivotal roles in the film.

Abbott will play the role of a villain, The Foreigner, who's often regarded as one of the bigger adversaries of Spider-Man in the comic books.

It's J.C. Chandor who's expected to direct 'Kraven the Hunter'. The film is being produced in the association of Matt Tolmach and Avi Arad. The screenplay of the upcoming film is known to have penned by Richard Wenk, Matt Holloway, and Art Marcum.

The film is slated to hit theatres on January 13, 2023 as per an update published on Deadline.

‘Aquaman 2’, ‘Flash’ Among Many Other Hollywood Films Delayed

'Aquaman 2', 'The Flash, 'Black Adam', 'Shazam 2' and 'Wonka are some of the Hollywood films that are reported to be delayed. It all happened after Film production company decided to delay the release dates of these films.

Films like 'The Flash', 'Lost Kingdom' and 'Aquaman' are some of the films that have been pushed back from 2022 to 2023. The major reason why these films are delayed is because of COVID induced production.

As per the latest Hollywood news, the Jason Momoa-starring sequel has been pushed back by the makers from December 16, 2022, to March 17, 2023.

Ezra Miller's Flash is also being reported to be pushed back from November 4, 2022, to June 23, 2023.

Dwayne Johnson starrer 'Black Adam' is also being pushed back to about 3 months to October 21, 2022. In the same way, another Hollywood entertainer 'DC League of Super-Pets' will now release on July 29, 2022. Earlier, this film was scheduled for release on May 20, 2022.

Another film titled 'Shazam! Fury of the Gods' has been moved a few months ahead.

Take a look at what Warner Bros. president of domestic distribution has to say, "We're thrilled to bring 'Shazam! Fury of the Gods' to audiences as a Christmas gift this year," he said.

He further stated that families of all ages are expected to enjoy the film.

Apart from the above, there are some non superhero films that are also being moved from their original dates of release dates. For example, 'Wonka' has been pushed back from March 17, 2023, to December 15, 2023.

 

'Aquaman 2', 'Flash' Among Many Other Hollywood Films Delayed

The latest report says that 'Meg 2: The Trench' that stars Jason Statham in the lead role is expected to hit theatres on August 4, 2023.

It was Johnson who first broke the news about films like 'Super-Pets' and 'Black Adam' were being delayed.

The report further says that Warner Bros. is expected to make a hot start in 2022 with DC Comics 'The Batman', starring Jeffrey Wright, Colin Farrell, Paul Dano, Zoe Kravitz, and Robert Pattinson in their respective pivotal roles.

With the success of Matt Reeves directed film The Batman it managed to make $134 million in the last weekend.

With these figures at the box office, the above numbers for the movie is something extraordinary. The film has also proved to be the second highest which is heading just behind 'Spider-Man: No Way Home'.

Kate Winslet Keen to Go Back to Work After Her Year Long Break

Kate Winslet was last seen in crime drama series titled Mare of Easttown and the first episode of this series was released on April 18, 2021. Since then, the Hollywood actress announced her break. And now, when it's almost an year ahead, the actress wants to move herself back to work.

On the occasion of International Women's Day, she spoke to Variety.com regarding her journey in films, her success and what she thinks about achieving in 2022.

This is what Winslet tells Variety, "I took last year off to be with my family and to recover from 'Mare of Easttown.' It was good to have a bit of a reset. But I love my job, and I'm really ready to throw myself back into it," Kate Winslet said.

She added, "For an actor, there's nothing as thrilling as being in a room with other actors. I am craving that again. But I've got heaps going on this year so I'm excited to get going."

During her interview with variety, the actress who's also an Oscar winner stated that she's currently fulfilling her dream in an upcoming role. She said that she's working with someone she's "longed to work with for some time": Andrea Riseborough.

Winslet says, "I have always admired her work. She is entirely different, truthful and compelling in everything she does. I find her riveting to watch. She is unselfconscious and damn funny, too. 'Death of Stalin' is a firm favorite in our house," she said.

"She and I working together later this year and I truly cannot wait."

In the interview, Kate Winslet also desired to work with Helen Mirren again. It was in the year 2016 when she worked with her in 'Collateral Beauty'.

"I would dearly love to work with her more intensely on something. There's nobody quite like her," Winslet says.

"She is powerful and riveting in everything she does."

Kate Winslet who has already spent more than two decades in the Hollywood has a strong message to give to all the young and aspiring actresses who want to work in the cine world.

"Don't expect the world to owe you something that you haven't worked hard toward achieving for yourself. It won't get handed to you on a plate," she tells Variety.

The actress continues saying, "Just keep experimenting and practicing, even if that's just at home. Don't act in front of a mirror. All that does is show you what your facial expressions are. But it's more important to start from the inside. Try not to be hard on yourself if you don't get a role you really wanted, just keep going." she added.

She further adds, "Don't scrutinise your appearance, it will only make you self-conscious and becomes a distraction."

Ariel Winter to Replace Demi Lovato In NBC Pilot 'Hungry'

Shortly before the filming of NBC pilot 'Hungry' the makers have named Ariel Winter to replace singer Demi Lovato. 

As per the latest Hollywood news, Demi will continue to work in the production team as an executive producer along with manager Scooter Braun. It basically follows a group of friends tied together through their all time favorite membership of their support group. It also follows their journey searching for all the success and love.

Along with Ariel Winter, the film also includes the name of Suzanne Martin who has written the script. It's directed by James Burrows starring James Burrows, Alex Brightman, Ryan McPartlin, Gabriel 'Fluffy' Iglesias and  Valerie Bertinelli in their respective pivotal roles.

The film is expected to bring to life by Sean Hayes who's recognized as 'Will and Grace' actor. It also includes some other names like Universal Television, SB Project, and Todd Millner's Hazy Mills.

The film's executive producers will include the names like Scooter, Demi, James Shin, Scott Manson, Todd and Sean in their respective pivotal roles.

It was only last year when the actress Ariel Winter shared her rough dealings with her body image issues. She was earlier being labelled as "fat s***" as a pre-teen.

This is what she said,  "I got called 'a fat slut' when I was 13. That was rough"

Apart from the above, the 'Sofia the First' star also believed that in the present time, her body just changed as she grew older with the passage of time. It helped her to become nothing like her character on the upcoming sitcom.

Ariel Winter says, "Because I gained weight and my body changed, I had to wear different outfits and I wore a dress that had a cutout here and the headlines were dark. 'Fat slut' was rough for me, and it continued."

"It was the fans, some of them - we have lovely, lovely fans, but some of them were also hard on me in the way they loved Alex Dunphy. And because I wasn't Alex Dunphy and didn't look like Alex, I didn't want to dress like Alex.

I was just different in that way. I'm not my character." the actress concluded.

‘The Batman’ Prequel Series Scrapped: Matt Reeves

Renowned filmmaker Matt Reeves is already in the news right from the time when he directed ‘The Batman‘. The latest is that the film’s HBO Max prequel series is not expected to move forward which means it will be scrapped.

The report says that Reeves had already indicated this previously on the ‘Hero Nation’ podcast.

Matt Reeves also disclosed that he had a detailed conversation with top HBO Max executives to steer his most anticipated Batman series towards the more established characters.

The series was earlier announced in July 2020 that basically happened to be an inspiration from yet another film titled ‘Prince of the City’. It looked focusing on the life of a cop who’s shown to be battling for his life.

He came on top before he was reawakened by a much anticipated and rising Gotham City vigilante.

This is what Matt Reeves had disclosed in yet another prodcast, “One thing that we’re not doing that I was gonna do. … So there’s the Gotham police show, which, that one actually is put on hold. We’re not really doing that.” he said.

Reeves further said that in the present time, he only hopes to visit the Gotham City Police Department.

Robert Pattinson Opens Up About How He Landed 'The Batman' Role

 Robert Pattinson, in a recent interaction with media has said in detail how he actually landed on to the role of ‘The Batman’. According to the top Hollywood actor, it was only an accident when he planted the seed with renowned producer Dylan Clark for the role of Batman.

This is what Robert Pattinson said, “I think I accidentally planted the seed. I was meeting Dylan for something else and then… Actually, to be honest, I think I definitely was angling after it, but I didn’t know what the status of the project was. I remember talking to Dylan for a long time then just right at the end, being, “So what’s happening with The Batman?”

But it didn’t really fit into the kind of stuff I was doing then. But for some reason, with Batman… It’s literally the only comic character I’d ever do. It’s by far the coolest one. And I thought it was completely out of reach as well.”

Robert Pattinson starrer ‘The Batman’ was released on March 4 and was released in as many as three languages like Telugu, Tamil and English.
